best 2 nights ever during the Elton John Concert in 2019. I am highly allergic to dogs, so I was bumped up to an Executive Suite which they sanitized. The Concierge and staff were above and beyond lovely and accommodating. I was even able to offer my visiting college roommate a glass of beautiful Chardonnay from my fully stocked Bar in the separate Living Room with a separate 1/2 Bath! She was so impressed, she commented this hotel would be wonderful for accommodating her Mother, as one of her children was soon to be married. Convenient location to concerts and 2 museums. Fabulous gem of a quiet and safe, first rate boutique hotel.

The Ivey's is a gorgeous hotel, and exactly what I was looking for when it came to a suite for getting ready for my wedding. The Manager is very helpful and easy to work with. The valet's are also super helpful and were much appreciated. The reason I gave 4 stars is due to two things: One woman at the front desk is not very friendly, or helpful, and they charge their guests to be able to take professional photos in the hotel. I completely understand someone that isn't a guest in the hotel needing to pay, but not a guest that is spending hundreds, or even $1000+ per night. This should really be re-evaluated.

Highly recommend this boutique hotel - the room I had was spacious and had plenty of closet space and toiletries and the location was great. The mini bar offerings are stocked and prices aren't as horrible as I've seen in other hotels. Very helpful and friendly staff. Only downside is the noise late on weekends nights - the hotel provides earplugs to help though.

Charming boutique hotel! Lovely, well furnished rooms and decor is beautiful. Reminiscent of uptown living decades ago. Appreciate they kept the feel of department store with the layout adds unique characteristic. There are many large chain hotels in CLT, but I recommend keep scrolling and click The Iveys. Shout out to Ty, the most awesome valet, who anticipated our next move and was always at the ready with our car.

The only redeeming qualities to this hotel are the aesthetic and housekeeping. The service was sub-par at best. From the minute we checked in it was one problem after another. Staff was immature & unprofessional. The food was horrid-I highly recommend getting breakfast off-site. The valet was MIA, and no parking offered otherwise. The front of the building was under scaffolding, but what made it an issue is the lack of protection from the power washing and debris upon entry. One of the employees was "off-duty", however they were blatantly drunk and bad-mouthing guests in a public space within the hotel. The cancellation policy is so strict that we were unable to end our reservation early to book elsewhere. Lastly, to add insult to injury, you couldn't even look forward to a good night's sleep as the pillows were horrendous. For the price you pay to stay, I was beyond disappointed.
